We realize that joining scouts is a big decision for you, your child, and your family. 

We've included some sections on our website that can help you make an informed decision. If you have any questions please contact us and we'll be happy to discuss scouting with you personally.

Our promise is that your child will have fun, they will be active, they will learn and you will be informed every step of the way.

Getting Started

At the start of each school year, Pack 358 kicks off its recruitment efforts with a Join Scouting Night at the local elementary schools.  Join Scouting Night is an opportunity for new recruits and their parents to get valuable information about the Cub Scout Program. 

Although formal recruiting is in September, children from Kindergarten to 5th Grade can join Cub Scouts at any time throughout the year. New recruits are even welcome to join a meeting to see if it's the right fit. 

Sign Up Today!

Are you saying, "Scout Me In!"? Perfect; we can't wait to scout with you! We have two forms you will need to fill out. The first is your child's registration with BSA (which we will handle separately with you offline); the second is for Pack 358 to cover awards, activities and events. There are two ways to sign up:

1. In-Person
   At the next pack or den meeting, let one of the leaders know that you're ready to sign up. They will connect you with our Membership Chair to help you get started on the paperwork, payment, and next steps. 

2. Online
   Please visit our Pack 358 New Membership page on Cheddar Up. After we receive your payment, someone will follow up with you to fill out the BSA Youth Application to make your scout official.
